Saltra Sodium / 50Ah Cells
50Ah sodium-ion cells may be the cleanest Na-ion pilot path.
A 50Ah prismatic sodium-ion cell is large enough for serious builder kits, but still small enough for practical pilot validation compared with larger storage cells.
Current status
Under supplier review.
Saltra is revalidating HighStar and other sodium-ion suppliers before purchasing new Na-ion inventory.
12V pilot path
A 4S sodium-ion build path may help customers understand Na-ion behavior in a manageable format.
48V pilot path
A 16S sodium-ion build path may support small stationary testing and future storage concepts.
Why not more 10Ah first
Saltra already has 10Ah cylindrical inventory. New Na-ion stocking should focus on cells that can move through kits or clear applications.
Documentation-first
Because sodium-ion is less mature in the U.S. DIY market, supplier documents and shipping clarity are required before launch.

Build logic
Possible 50Ah sodium build paths.
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| 4S / 12V pilot | Good for education, small testing, cold-weather evaluation, and early customer learning. |
| 16S / 48V pilot | Better for storage testing but requires stronger BMS, documentation, and shipping planning. |
| Stocking decision | Do not stock until DDP, documents, warranty, and customer demand are clearer. |
Next step
Do not guess the build.
Tell Saltra what you are building, your target voltage, application, capacity goal, and whether you already have an inverter, charger, or BMS. We will use that information to recommend a cleaner battery build path before you buy.
